LAUREL, Montana -- Illegal aliens working at the CHS Refinery in Laurel were arrested Monday night, following a joint operation by the Yellowstone County Sheriff's Office and the Montana Highway Patrol.
What started as an effort to ticket out of state sub-contractors working at the refinery who haven't registered their vehicles in Montana, turned into an illegal immigration bust-netting nine illegal aliens.
The sting operation took place during shift change, where Sheriff's Deputies and Highway Patrolmen mounted a traffic checkpoint just outside the gates of the refinery.
