SAN DIEGO, California -- According to a Customs and Border Protection press release, border agents found nine illegal aliens stashed behind packages in the rear of a DHL delivery van Wednesday.
Agents subsequently arrested the uniformed driver of the delivery van and charged him with alien smuggling; he is being held in Border Patrol custody pending prosecution, the press release said.
The marked delivery van contained 32 shipping packages, which agents released to a representative of the major package delivery service, according to the press release.
