STAFFORD, Virginia -- A group of Stafford residents who are speaking out about illegal immigration have joined forces with others across Virginia in order to make sure state officials hear what they have to say.
Save Stafford became one of seven organizations across the state to unite under the newly-formed group Save The Old Dominion. Formed in mid-December, the state organization wants to reduce the number of illegal immigrants unlawfully residing in Virginia by pushing for legislation that addresses the issue.
“We believe we need to unify as individual counties and municipalities in order to have a stronger voice,” said Meg Jaworowski, president of Save Stafford. “We were very much in favor of having a state organization and thankful for Greg Letiecq who started it.”
