Pensacola, FLORIDA: Man convicted of alien smuggling (H2-B Visa Fraud)

Northwest Florida Daily News

PENSACOLA, Florida -- A man who has been living in Walton County was the odd man out Tuesday after his co-conspirators testified against him in a federal alien-smuggling case.

Justin Eric King, 27, of Chipley in Washington County was convicted on multiple counts of fraud and conspiracy after a six-day trial, according to the U.S. Department of Justice.

He was an officer of Eurohouse Holding Corp. and an employee of Woland Inc., the firms that helped more than 200 aliens receive illegal work visas.

The conspiracy began in 1999 in Georgia, escalated in 2003 and continued in Florida until this year as the group snagged temporary H2-B visas, which permit aliens to work in the U.S. as unskilled laborers.

King signed on in 2005 and mailed more than 1,500 fraudulent visa applications to alien candidates, prosecutors said.
