CULPEPER, Virginia -- An illegal immigrant from Mexico who stabbed his housemate in the chest was found guilty Tuesday in Culpeper County Circuit Court.
A 12-member jury recommended a six-year sentence for Jimenez Jesus Reyes, 22, for stabbing Adan Fernandez, 26, May 20 in their home at 13616 Eggbornsville Road.
Reyes, who pleaded not guilty, was convicted on one felony count of malicious wounding, one count of misdemeanor assault and battery and two counts of misdemeanor identity theft.
