Not long ago I passed a house in my neighborhood that was being re-roofed. As I passed I heard the chatter from the crew, all speaking Spanish.
A couple of days later I listened to a man at work telling me that his son, a roofing contractor, was finding it harder and harder to find work. Seems that he is continually being underbid by people who are using illegal labor.
I grew up working construction, so I have seen the changes that have taken place in this industry over the years. This garbage statement, "Jobs that most Americans won't do," is just that. Garbage! A working American with a house and family can't compete with a household of 10 or more illegal aliens living under the same roof. It's simple math. Ten people from the same household making $5 an hour equals $50 an hour brought into that household. One legal American man making $5 an hour equals poverty!
