CHESTERFIELD, Virginia -- Chesterfield County is now taking steps to crack down on illegal immigration. The Board of Supervisors has given the go-ahead to start drafting new ordinances.
This all goes back to the county’s illegal-immigration report released back in August. It says the county spends around $2 million a year giving services to illegal immigrants.
