VICTORVILLE, California -- After hearing the victim start to testify about how she was raped, her attacker decided to plead guilty to three strikes and was sentenced to 10 years, eight months.
Miguel Angel Ruano, 20, of Pasadena pleaded guilty to kidnapping, forcible rape and criminal threats.
Deputy District Attorney Kathleen DiDonato said that the victim started to testify and just as she started describing the rape, the court broke for lunch. When they came back, Ruano pleaded guilty.
