LITTLE ROCK, Arkansas -- The Mexican Consulate has only been open for 5 months in Little Rock, but it is already making a dramatic impact on the community.

Alejandro Leon is the Consul for Documentation Affairs in Little Rock. Everyday he's working to make life easier for dozens of Mexican citizens living in the natural state.

"Personally very busy, very busy we work an average of 11 hours a day," he says.

And he's says an increasing number of people are seeking out the services of the Consulate.

The consulate itself serves a region that now includes all of Arkansas and Mississippi, and parts of Oklahoma, Tennessee, and Louisiana.

Mexican citizens like Salazar say the ID card can even be used to fly on some US airlines.
