Tar Heel, NORTH CAROLINA: Federal immigration arrest 28 illegal aliens at Smithfield Foods plant (IDENTITY THEFT)

TAR HEEL, North Carolina -- Federal officials arrested 28 people suspected of identity theft during raids at a Smithfield Foods' slaughterhouse in Tar Heel and in neighborhoods in four surrounding counties.

Federal Immigration and Customs Enforcement agency spokesman Richard Rocha says agents made the arrests in Bladen, Cumberland, Hoke and Robeson counties.
