MAURY County, Tennessee -- Federal agents arrested eight suspected illegal immigrants while looking for an accused rapist, Maury County Sheriff’s Capt. Nathan Johns said Saturday.
The eight people, two of which are either Chinese or of Chinese descent, were arrested while deputy U.S. Marshals and Immigration and Customs Agents searched for Juan Villa, suspected to raping a 15-year-old girl, Johns said.
Johns said he didn’t know where the eight people were arrested.
“All we did is assist the ICE agents by processing and housing the suspects in the Maury County Jail,” Johns said.
