PALMVIEW, Texas -- An investigation into an auto theft ring led to the discovery Wednesday of more than 70 suspected illegal immigrants in a single-family home, officials said.
Hidalgo County sheriff's officials were watching the home as part of their investigation and found the immigrants when they entered it.
U.S. Border Patrol spokesman Oscar Saldana said the immigrants were from Mexico and Central America and were being detained.
