Worthington, INDIANA: Local Police Arrest 2 Illegal Aliens (Cocaine, Fake ID)

WORTHINGTON, Indiana -- A pair of Guatemala nationals arrested by Greene County and Worthington law authorities on a variety of illegal drug and forgery charges last week remain lodged in the county jail pending a decision on deportation by federal immigration officials.

Worthington Town Marshal Dennis Conaway said officials with the Department of Homeland Security, Immigration Division met with 21-year-old cousins Albin E. and Rudy L. Asencio, of Columbus, at the Greene County Jail on Wednesday to discuss deportation proceedings as illegal aliens.

A computer check showed that Albin Asencio was wanted in Texas for a parole violation. Initially, he had identified himself as Samuel J. Gilley, but later told police he had purchased an Indiana driver's license bearing that name from an unknown man in Washington, Ind., for $800.
