FLORIDA: Martin County cocaine network busted (OPERATION MEXICAN SNOW)

STUART, Florida -- The smugglers were moving 25 to 50 kilograms of cocaine a month from Mexico to Martin County.

They made anywhere from $28,000 to $35,000 a "key" selling to mid-level distributors, who ensured both powder and rock cocaine fed the habits of users across the Treasure Coast and several states in the Southeastern United States.

And they blended quietly into Golden Gate, Port Salerno, Indiantown and other areas until they became "the largest cocaine organization ever targeted within Martin County," Sheriff Robert Crowder announced Monday.
