LOUDOUN COUNTY, Virginia -- Four illegal immigrants pled guilty last week to a year-long raid of construction sites in Loudoun County.
The four men were tied to nearly 100 cases of larcenies of appliances from construction sites throughout the county, and face five counts of grand larceny and five counts of destruction of property in Loudoun alone. According to a police report, they face similar charges in other Northern Virginia jurisdictions.
Marco Julio Ortiz-Argumendo, 22; Oscar Asencio, 20; Poreido Gayordo-Alvaranga, 23; Jimmy Mendoza, 26; and a fifth suspect were apprehended in July last year, when investigators followed their vehicle to the Rt. 1 area of Fairfax County. Investigators discovered two vans full of appliances, such as washers, dryers, dishwashers, refrigerators and ovens. The four men, along with another suspect-who remains at large-are estimated to have stolen more than $500,000 worth of appliances, Loudoun County Sheriff's Office spokesman Kraig Troxell said.
