COEUR D'ALENE, Idaho -- Just weeks before he leaves office, Idaho Governor Jim Risch made a push to keep illegal aliens out of state and local government jobs. He’s also asking private businesses to hire only US citizens.
It’s all part of a federal pilot program. The idea is to keep illegal aliens from getting a job so they can’t receive taxpayer benefits American citizens take advantage of everyday.
“Americans and Idahoans are getting sick and tired of using taxpayer funds for people who aren't here legally,” Risch said.
