Border Patrol agents Ignacio Ramos and Jose Alonso Compean face 11 years and 12 years in prison, respectively, for doing their job. It's a legal outrage in El Paso, Texas with the lives of the two agents and their families on the line.
It's clear their enemy is not the drug smuggler, Osvaldo Aldrete-Davila. Their enemy is their – and our – own government.
Some news reports call the guy an ''alleged drug runner.'' I guess he's ''alleged'' because he never was tried for smuggling or possession or illegal entry or attempting to evade officers of the law – or anything.
