Slidell, Louisiana -- A man was found guilty of attempted kidnapping Tuesday for trying to lure a 12-year-old girl into his vehicle at her school bus stop in Slidell.
A six-person jury convicted Elixe Nover Escobar-Galindo, 32, after a day of testimony at the parish courthouse in Covington. The Honduran native twice tried to kidnap the girl, whose mother helped officers catch him, police said.
