FORT WORTH , Texas -- Cheryl Elliott, vice president of human resources for Service Performance Corp., was sentenced to two years' probation Monday by U.S. District Judge Terry Means for her part in the hiring of more than 200 illegal immigrants to do janitorial work for American Airlines at Dallas/Fort Worth Airport. Elliott was not fined. Just before and after the 9-11 panic over airport security, SPC office workers hired and falsified citizenship records in order to obtain security clearance for the employees. The company was previously fined $600,000. Last week, SPC operations manager Josue Silva was also sentenced by Means to two years' probation. Silva was also fined $1,000.
