BOSTON, Massachusetts -- Gov. Mitt Romney wants his state troopers to be able to arrest illegal immigrants in the United States.
Under Romney's proposal, troopers would be able to check an immigrant's legal status during routine patrol stops and decide whether the immigrant should be held, says the report.
"It's one more thing you can do to make this a less attractive place for illegal aliens to come to work," Romney was quoted as saying.
