Michigan -- The state House on Tuesday passed a bill that would require U.S. citizenship status to be disclosed on Michigan driver's licenses.
The bill would require an applicant for a driver's license, if a citizen, to provide a statement attesting to citizenship. The secretary of state would be required to issue a license that notes the driver is a citizen.
The secretary of state also would be required to deny a driver's license to a person it determines is in the country illegally.
