Not enought being done to stop illegal immigration in East TENNESSEE (ICE AWOL!)

East Tennessee law enforcement and justice officials say they need help from the federal government in slowing the tide of crime by illegal immigrants.

Volunteer TV's Gary Loe reports local authorities want increased deportation and the tightening of the US/Mexican border. By now, most of us have seen the video of illegal immigrants crossing into the United States. What we often don't see is how those undocumented folks affect law and order here in East Tennessee.

Jefferson County Sheriff David Davenport agrees. He says "we'll hold them for being illegal, and immigration won't pick them up. When immigration does pick them up, they turn them loose or if they do deport them (the illegals), they'll be back in a week. It's a revolving door."
