OHIO: Census proposal would add illegal immigrants

COLUMBUS, Ohio -- Besides abortion, higher education, minimum wage and voting issues, state legislators hope to tackle another thorny topic during the next month: whether to count illegal immigrants in the U.S. Census.

House Speaker Jon Husted, during a Thursday roundtable with Statehouse reporters, said his staff is talking to Ohio's congressional delegation about seeking to amend the U.S. Constitution to change the way residents are counted every 10 years.
