PHOENIX, Arizona -- Companies who contract with the state now will have to guarantee they are hiring only legal U.S. residents and provide documents on demand to state auditors.
In a new executive order, Gov. Janet Napolitano directed state agencies to demand written warranties from companies that they are in compliance with all federal immigration laws and regulations. Similar assurances will be necessary from subcontractors.
