Ohio: Sheriff Dan Beck will seek federal partnership on immigration law

LIMA, Ohio -- Sheriff Dan Beck will attempt to get department officers deputized by the federal government, giving them more authority in immigration law.

Beck, speaking to the office’s Citizen’s Law Enforcement Academy members Wednesday, said he will meet with officials from U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement Nov. 8 in Cleveland for training and will discuss the issue with ICE officials.
