HEBER CITY, Utah -- When Aniceto Armendariz and his family moved here 11 years ago to do Catholic charity work, they lived in a trailer so small the refrigerator had to sit outside.
The family eventually moved into a house in a subdivision on the east side of town.
On Monday afternoon, about 20 friends and well-wishers streamed up the driveway and into the living room to console the family.
They wondered why anyone would want to kill the 42-year-old man, who they said was active in helping bridge divides between Latinos and other communities.
