Illegal aliens robbing legal U.S. taxpayers

Letter writer Vernice Few states, "The government is acting like an 18-year-old in many ways, but the one that really bothers me is the refusal to secure the borders."

That's called "taxation without representation" and it was the chief motivation for the American Colonies to gain independence from England.

What would the Founding Fathers think to see what Washington, D.C., is doing with our taxes?

What would they say to those politicians who grant a bounty of taxpayer-paid social services to illegal aliens in order to supply corporations with cheap labor?

I live in California, ground zero for illegal immigration. It's estimated that we have 3 million illegal aliens in our state, possible more.

It costs California $10.5 billion a year to educate, medicate, incarcerate and provide social services to illegal aliens. My state is in debt for $38 billion with no relief in sight. In the past 11 years, we have lost 86 emergency rooms because illegal aliens use them as free health clinics.

I am Hispanic. I came to the United States as a legal immigrant prior to 1965, I am a naturalized U.S. citizen, and I have loyalty to only one country, the United States of America.
