Indianapolis -- A man accused of drinking and driving and then killing two people in a crash told the court he's been living in the United States illegally. The crash happened early Sunday morning on the west side of Indianapolis.
Marion County Prosecutor Carl Brizzi says Rosalio Pedraza ran a red light and crashed into a SUV carrying Thomas Youngstafel and Joseph Gehler as they left a wedding reception at the Indianapolis Zoo.
A judge raised Pedraza's bond to $150,000 because prosecutors argued he is a flight risk. If convicted, Pedraza can face up to 48 years in jail.
