Hatch's support for President Bush was unequivocal - on the president's "gutsy" immigration policy and his decision to send U.S. troops to Iraq. Calling his colleagues in Congress "gutless" for refusing to address immigration reform, Hatch mentioned his sponsorship of the DREAM Act, which allows states to grant in-state tuition to the children of illegal immigrants.
"I don't sanction illegals coming into this country. I don't sanction undocumented workers," he said. "But we know some industries in our state wouldn't even be alive" without illegal immigrants. And their children should not be relegated to the "underworld."
Well, obviously Mr. Hatch does sanction illegal aliens violating United States law and this guy is on the Senate Judiciary Committee. Just amazing isn't it? A United States senator wants to reward illegal aliens by rewarding them with taxpayer money. Note, most illegal aliens are paid lower wages under the table (cash) so they never pay income tax. So, they are not entitled to the same benefit of Ameican citizens.
How many United States citizens struggle everyday to try and send their kids off to college while housing and gasoline cost are hitting the stratosphere? Where is Mr. Hatch at for these struggling families? Mr. Hatch does not deserve to be re-elected. He should be representing the U.S. citizens of his state in the senate and let Mr. Vincente Fox clean up his act at home and quit dumping his citizens on the American taxpayer (citizen).
