CONCORD – Two Nashua men were jailed Friday on charges that they sold sets of counterfeit green cards and Social Security cards for $200, a federal prosecutor said.
Gilmar Miranda, also known as Gilmore Miranda, 33, and Aderci “Del” DaSilva, 35, both of 48 Royal Crest Drive, Apt. 2, were arrested Thursday evening following an investigation by Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents, Assistant U.S. Attorney Mark Zuckerman said.
Both Miranda and DaSilva made their first appearances Friday in U.S. District Court, and a
judge ordered that both will remain jailed while awaiting trial, Zuckerman said.
Miranda and DaSilva both are Brazilian, and their own immigration status remains under investigation, but they are suspected of being illegal immigrants, Zuckerman said.
