Hostettler also spoke of American workers being displaced by illegal aliens. He said tax revenues increased, Congress lowered taxes for citizens, home ownership is up, the economy is growing, but Americans aren't getting the jobs.

He said he is opposed to the Central American Free Trade Agreement.

He said the Senate passed the bill, but the House hasn't considered it yet. He said this agreement doesn't allow Congress to have any say in these trade agreements.

He also said that illegal immigration is a serious problem.

He said enforcing work site compliance could stop the problem of taxation, since those who work in the U.S. and have a green card are legal, permanent residents and are supposed to pay taxes. Illegal immigrants don't pay taxes, he said.
