Alabama -- Federal immigration officers swept through Hoover and Shelby County this week, arresting 30 Hispanic people in what's being called an "ongoing anti-gang" operation.
Hoover police records show that 30 people were processed through the Hoover Jail between 9 and 10:15 a.m. Tuesday. They were transferred at 11:45 a.m. to the Etowah County Jail in Gadsden, where the federal government processes illegal aliens.
