100,000 Petitions to Be Delivered at March 6 Tucson Rally
SIERRA VISTA, Ariz., March 1 /PRNewswire/ -- American Border Patrol (ABP), a non-profit Arizona corporation, will hold a rally this Saturday, March 6, to deliver more than 100,000 individual petitions demanding that the government place the military on the border to stop illegal immigration. The rally, which will be held in El Presidio Park in downtown Tucson, will feature Glenn Spencer, president of ABP, former Chief U.S. Border Patrol Agent Bill King and Arizona Assemblyman Randy Graf, along with nationally syndicated talk show host Terry Anderson, a black businessman from Los Angeles, and Yeh Ling Ling of the Diversity Alliance. ABP collected the petitions during a mail-in campaign over the past several months. The rally will start at 2 p.m. At 4 p.m. rally goers will march a short distance to the federal building at 300 W. Congress St. to deliver the petitions.
Images of the rally will be sent live over the Internet using ABP's Mobile Internet Satellite System and a camera on the Border Hawk unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) that will be suspended over the stage. ABP uses the Border Hawk to report illegal border crossers on the Internet. It has been featured in a number of national TV programs.
