On Dec. 17, a 42-year-old woman and her boyfriend were sitting on a park bench in New York City when they were robbed by five Hispanic males. The woman was kidnapped and taken to a secluded part of a Long Island Railroad station, where she was raped and beaten.
Luckily, the woman's boyfriend was able to escape during the attack and notify the authorities. Miraculously, the woman was found and rescued with the help of the cops and a police dog. All five of the men arrested were illegal immigrants and four had criminal records.
Why weren't they deported when authorities first learned they were in the country illegally?
