No bail ordered for INS suspect

Department of Justice Immigration Judge Bruce Barrett said Friday that new information showing that Reza Zazai's brother took flying lessons in the United States has heightened national security concerns.

Mr. Zazai, who is originally from Afghanistan, and five other men were arrested Sept. 10 in a sparsely furnished Baltimore apartment, where officers found computers containing information on flight training and airports. Identification cards, photos, and Arabic literature on Islam and jihad, or holy war, were also found.

Several of the men in the apartment, including Mr. Zazai and his brother, Ahmad Shah Khattab, were detained for being in the country illegally. But Mr. Khattab was released after questioning because he was a legal visitor to the United States and a Canadian citizen, officials said.
